Hey there!

I go by Amanda (she/her/ella).

I passionate about equitable storytelling, honest harmony, and intergenerational healing.

As a complex trauma doula, my gift is co-creating sacred healing containers that:

  • honor every body, especially bigger bodies of color,

  • empower the mind, and

  • decolonize healing practices.

I guide those called toward holistic healing, lineage reprocessing, and collective liberation.

for survivors, by survivors.

“As a facilitator, Amanda leads truly transformational programs focused on self-reflection and community building, and she excels at fostering a sense of belonging within the communities she supports.

She is also incredibly adept at adapting to the needs of a specific group. It is a sincere pleasure to work with and learn from Amanda.”

"Amanda is the cream of the crop — a rare talent and an electric blend of storytelling intuition, hard work and technical skill, and a generous, collaborative spirit.

Shehas a remarkable ability to make interview subjects from all walks of life feel at ease, while juggling the many factors she must take into account working in often-stressful situations.”

“Having Amanda as an instructor was an eye opening experience which led me to see teaching and learning from an entirely new perspective. She set a clear example of what leadership can and should look like in a collaborative setting.

She has left a long-lasting impact on me and my peers, by showing us how to lead a project from a place of love while still completing every task to the best of our abilities."

Why Sacred Witness?

I started Sacred Witness Sanctuary because I experienced the profound healing that comes with culturally-affirming witnessing.

In my own complex trauma recovery, I searched for medicine in expert psychologists, indigenous spiritual leaders, wellness retreats, grief circles, somatic experiencing, solo travel, and beyond.

Yet—as a mixed-race, Taino, silently-disabled activist living in a bigger body, I often encountered systemic challenges and biased blind spots.

I noticed that inclusive healing was most disrupted by systemic anti-fatness, colonial ideals, and a lack of lived-in trauma-informed practices.

My intention with SWS is to share hard-earned wisdom from a wealth of lived experience in trauma healing.

I support holistic mind, body, and spirit nourishment for survivors seeking solid ground and a traumatic world.

The Space I hold.

I'm an award-winning facilitator who supports people in bloom through authenticity, vulnerability, and a growth-oriented mindset.

I've hosted dozens of experiences for diverse audiences and vulnerable populations—from creatives in Uganda, to at-risk youth in NYC, and Latine trauma survivors. While I've worked with organizations like the U.S. State Department and Condé Nast, I prefer working with small businesses and local activist collectives.

My events have been officially recognized for reshaping culture and upholding the values of global diversity and inclusion, belonging, equity, and access by organizations like the NYU Alumni Association, Eventbrite, and more.

Tag me in and witness the unfolding.

My Story, my words.

I’m honored to have witnessed wild, sideways, beautiful, honest, harrowing, complex, miraculous, and absurd lived experiences.

I’ve set foot in over 30 countries and nearly 50 U.S. states, forging deep connections with strangers and survivors along the way. As a filmmaker, I've immortalized many of them them.

Speaking with an intersectional range of humans—from world-class architects to genocide survivors and renowned activists—has profoundly shaped my understanding and approach to community care and trauma processing.

My medicine lies in my way with people. I bring an deeply lived-in, trauma-attuned capacity to my clients and community. Addressing relational wounds begins with feeling safe enough to tell our truest stories and be fully seen by another.

Transformative healing lies in quiet conversations that shine light in dark rooms—holding our truth as sacred and precious.
